- possess the “Mittlerer Schulabschluss” diploma (relatable to ‘Level 3’ of the European Qualifications Framework) with a specific qualification to attend the “Gymnasiale Oberstufe”
- a promotion to attend the 10th grade at a grammar school that lasts for 8 years
- or an equivalent diploma that enables them to attend a higher-level secondary school (relatable to ‘Level 3’ of the European Qualifications Framework).
